I grew up playing with Lego – I am sure its the same for most people in their thirties – it was my favourite way to pass the time. My favourite things to build were houses and I would spend hours creating little villages and scenes to re-enact. My ten year old son, I am happy to say is exactly the same, he spends hours creating lego scenes and objects from his imagination.
I watched him search through all of his lego for the bits he needed to build an aeroplane; the sets he had from his dad and I, and the sets that were actually his and I suddenly realised he didnt have any lego aeroplanes at all.
I decided to look online straight away to see what I could find and was amazed to discover how many sets there actually are. Duplo have a My First Plane for the very small children and each of the various lego branches have their own plane sets. I found that the Temple Escape set for Lego Indiana Jones has a small aeroplane to build, the Lego Star Wars and other space sets have space ships and planes to build but by far the most is the Lego City with its airports all equiped with the necessary planes, cargo planes, passenger planes, even old propeller planes can be built using lego.
